Hausmekon German Shepherds

We have been raising and showing Registered German Shepherd Dogs for over 25 years. All our puppies are raised in the house and underfoot. Intermingling with cats, kids and parrots ………. smile.

Over the years we have and/or are competing in Dog Shows, Obedience, Schutzhund,Herding,Tracking etc. Our puppies and adult dogs are sold with a written guarantee and shipped worldwide.

I received my first GSD as a rescue from the Tacoma Humane Society when I was twelve & a half. He became my first CD titled dog. His name was Mekon Ramir’s Wolf Am CD TC. He taught me a lot about training, I probably retrained this dog several times because I didn’t know what I was doing. As a young dog he protected me from a drunk that attacked me in my own front yard in Auburn Wa, yet he refused to do manwork after he found out that it was just pretend, he was known to lift his leg on the agitator a time or two. At matches he also competed at CDX and UD level, but because CKC didn’t recognize ILP dogs we could never go for his other titles.Wolf was 13 when I finally had to put him down.

My next GSD was a bitch I got from the breeder in exchange for a puppy back deal. This was great because I was only 16 at the time, and didn’t have much money (read that as none). This was Can. OT CH Taune Celta von Mekon UDT, Am CDX, TD, 2 legs on her UD, SV & NASA SchH2 AD TC OFA GS4800. She wasn’t a very nice bitch as far as temperament went, didn’t like strangers but had a memory to die for. You could teach her anything then not do it for months yet she would do it flawlessly. She never got her SchH3 due to my pulling her off the track one time, then in a NASA trial she couldn’t make the 6 foot wall anymore (she was nine & 1/2 by then and jumping was getting hard to do) this was also the reason she didn’t finish her Am UD. But at that age she learned to herd cattle, which she did with her usual style. I had her for exactly 12 years.

I also had her son Hausmekon’s Arko De Wolf CDX, TC, OFA, he was a oversized Hein grandson, an absolute opposite to his mother, a real love. I finally placed him with Winifred Dorchester (she owned and showed Am/Can CH Doctor of Longworth).

My next GSD was Smithfield Harvi v Hausmekon Am/Can CD, TC, OFA. I got Harvi from breeder Bonnie Smith, Bonnie had a Phantom daughter I fell in love with, and when I couldn’t get her I got her 1/2 sister Harvi. Harvi was 3 months old when I saw Clayfield Brennan, I immediately decided that he was the one that Harvi was going to be bred to. Harvi was a borderline longcoat, I trimmed her and showed her till she had had her second litter. She was never out of the ribbons and received two 5 point reserves and a 4 point win before being bred to Brennan. She finished her Am CD the week before she whelped the “D” litter. The litter was very deep in Quality and Sharon Earl and Alice Likens got 3 of the bitches Devon, Dijana and another one they sent to Texas later. I ended up co-owning Devon with them, then finally they got her out right when I got married and moved to California. Devon’s brother Hausmekon’s the Dark Piper SchH1 was a working police dog. Devon was bred to Select CH Karagin’s Crusader ROM. The result of those breedings produced many nice dogs that went on to finish their Championships and one ROM daughter Jordan, that gave Devon her ROM.

From that first breeding (of Devon) Alice and Sharon got Babysweet or as most people know her as Clayfield Smithfield Jordan ROM, from the 2nd breeding I got Hausmekon Smithfield Rhonda TC, HIC, x-rayed normal hips. Both these gals were bred to Ch Mazarati ROM. In Jordan’s litters this produced some very nice select CH’s. In my case I got some excellent bitches that while I didn’t get them finished they did established my bloodlines.

One of the bitches Hausmekon Covy Tuckerhill N.Y., Std”c”, TC, CGC, HIC, OFA was the first GSD to earn a ASCA herding title on cattle. She also worked daily on the dairy with me. Her daughter Hausmekon’s L.A. von Scheinuck CD, PT, HIC, CGC, TDI, Std”c” OFA also worked with me on a daily basis on the dairy. L.A.’s daughter Hausmekon’s Ursala CGC,TC OFA has carried on the bloodline for me. I have 5 of her daughters out of 4 different stud dogs. Her oldest that I have is Int/Nat CH Hausmekon’s Dance On Forever TC OFA sired by Int CH Archer von Raine CGC TC, ( Dancer already has an daughter making herself known in the herding ring for her owners “Jazz” has her HT, PT, JHD, TC and is working toward her CD and HS now). Then the next one is Int CH Hausmekon’s Gay Ninetys OFA, sired by Int CH Zajacz’s Greystoke v Hausmekon, she has been 1st every time shown so far. Both Dancer and Gala show very strong herding instinct and will be training and competing hopefully this year in the herding tests.

Then we have Val-Koa’s Ms Peggi Sue v Hausmekon CGC, HT, PT, JHD, sired by Select Ch Omega’s American Express PT, coowned by myself and Dottie Newell, she is a fireball in the herding arena. She isn’t yet 2 years old but is just a natural herder. I look forward to working her in the advance trial classes. Then last but not least there are the two babies of Ursala’s last forbidden fling. Hausmekon’s Illusion who at 6 months and 2 days went reserve at her 2nd show, she also shows that wonderful herding ability. Hausmekon’s In Pursuit as her name implies is a HERDING FOOL. She has what it takes to go on to be competitive in the advance trials. I will be working these two girls as time and money permits. Their daddy, Junghund Int/Nat CH Deblyn’s Harleys Limited Edition TC, coowned with Debby White is also herding, and enjoying himself. He will also be back in the show ring shortly, competing for his AKC Championship and herding titles. I also coown Harleys 1/2 sister Deblyn’s Genuine Risk v Hausmekon with Debby. She is in whelp to Debby’s young male, X Country of Rockanands. Watch for her after her maternal duties are done. She also loves the herding. I also have a solid black bitch out of Ursala’s daughter Topaz (Topaz was one of my first German/American crosses).
